As two graduated English Majors, we read a lot of books during our time at University (some we loved, some were meh, and some we wish we never had to touch). We would have loved a list like this to prepare us for everything that we had to read. Let us tell you, reading a couple Jane Austen books and Shakespeare plays did not prepare us at all. So, we made a comprehensive list of 99 books that we or our fellow students had to read to get you prepared.
